Take a detour in one of the Philippine islands nestled at the great Pacific Ocean, Catanduanes. Getting here means no sweat as you have plenty of options on how to travel to the island. One can travel by plane or by land & sea.

BY AIR

Via Manila
If your going by plane to Catanduanes, flights are serviced by Cebu Pacific and the travel time by plane is usually 1hr and 15 minutes. Cebu Pacific flies directly from Manila to Virac vice versa every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Travelling to other parts of the province like Bagamanoc, Baras, Bato, Caramoran, Gigmoto, Pandan, Panganiban, San Andres, San Miguel, and Viga, transportation options to the rest of the island all connect through the town capital Virac.

The newly launched Skyjet is now serving travelers from Manila to Virac.

BY LAND AND WATER

Numerous bus services travelling from Manila to Tabaco are available. The travel time usually take 9-10 hours. Regular ferries connect Virac to the port of Tabaco. From the seaport of Tabaco, hop on either at MV Calixta or MV Eugene Elson to reach the island of Catanduanes via San Andres or Virac seaport.

Getting Around the Island
The primary mode of transportation in Catanduanes is tricycle. It is a motorcycle with an enclosed sidecar for passengers. PUJs and buses from Virac travels daily going to the other municipalities but if you are looking for an adventurous trip, you can get around the entire province with a motorcycle.

San ba yung pinakamagandang falls na madaling puntahan from Virac. Meron ba white sand beaches malapit sa Virac? Saan pwede magcheck-in na comfortable at affordable. Thanks!

Hi Norman. Check our blog about Catanduanes here: http://www.tripapips.com/1/post/2012/05/catanduanes-the-land-of-the-howling-winds.html

Less than 25 minutes ang byahe.
