Bone Thugs-n-Harmony were back in the Philippines for a benefit concert that pays tribute to the victims of Typhoon Yolanda. This was a big event not just for the fanatics but also to each family who was devastated by the said typhoon last November 2013.
The American Hip Hop group performed last June 11, 2014 at the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City. Proceeds go to the Ladder House International Inc. to help in the recovery of the areas that were affected by the Typhoon Yolanda.
Ever since I was in high school, their music have been a big part of my life until now. I have been devoted collecting their albums (even their solo albums), memorizing their songs, compiling their music videos, following them in social medias and all the stuff you can name when it comes to BTNH.
And that night, their live performances were witnessed by my own eyes - a dream come true for a die-hard fan like me.
In 2011, I was travelling to Catanduanes when I heard that they are going to have a concert here in Manila. It was really frustrating on my part and the only thing that I can do is to wish for their comeback. After three years, here they are again (very lucky me!).
Without any hesitation, I bought a patron ticket and skip a day from work just to finally make it on their concert. I was very excited and eager to see them. I brought the news to all of my friends (influenced by me to love BTNH) inviting them to come and watch with me. So in the night of their concert, I was with two of my bestfriends Sam and Boyong feeling very blessed because the patron seat was nothing but a big surprise. We were right in front of the stage (2-3 meters closer), even had a hand shake and saw them upclose. And the rest was totally unforgettable.
I am very happy and excited to share what happened on their concert. These are the highlights of last night's Bone Thugs-N-Harmony in Manila 2014 benefit concert:
Gloc-9 fired up the stage first performing his hits including Magdalena, Sumayaw Ka, Hari ng Tondo and his latest hit Takip Silim featuring Regine Velasquez-Alcasid. He even performed Kaleidoscope World by the late Francis M. He mentioned that his fast-flowing rapping style was influenced by BTNH.

After him, another filipino rap group Blaze N Kane (a.k.a BNK) flabbergasted the crowd with their songs including their hit Pirates.
Big Sloan, one of the Mo Thugs member, also performed on stage adding up the excitement to the crowd. Aside from them, many other guest local artists performed during the event.

After a solid opening set from the other artists, my 10 years of waiting to see BTNH performing live was finally granted. Three from the five members made it to the event. They were Krayzie Bone, Layzie Bone and Wish Bone rocking the stage with all of their greatest hits including Let the Law End, Look Into My Eyes, Body Rott, Mo Thug Family Tree, Dayz Of Our Livez, 1st Of The Month, Thuggish Ruggish Bone, Budsmoker's Only, Weed Song, I Tried, No Surrender, Thug Luv, Notorious Thugs, Foe The Love Of $ and many more.
They even requested the crowd to have solemnity, to pray for the Yolanda victims and even dedicated their long time hit song Tha Crossroads while Francis M's photos were flashing on the screen (that was really something).

The night ended with a once in a lifetime experience. It was really a bittersweet memory for me to see them live even without the other two members Bizzy Bone and Flesh-n-Bone. I wish they will still be back here in Manila to have a concert again.
Eventhough I lost my phone during the concert with all of the pictures I took of their performances, this moment will always be in my heart as a Bone Thugs-N-Harmony fanatic. I will say that this was one of the best things happened in my life and nothing can ever replace that. :)
